In the second part of February Dutch growers announced how they are coping with virus problems. On the other hand, only the day after, the harvest of the first 100% LED-lighted tomatoes were celebrated at nursery Lans. And let's not forget the tomato song the Norwegian growers with Lauvsnes Gartneri made. Also it was in February that Bayer announced to sell their Nunhems brand.

ToCV outbreak in the Netherlands 
The Dutch horticulture is alert for the risk of the Tomato chlorosis crinivirus (ToCV). The virus has so far been found at eleven Dutch tomato production companies.

NL: Lans harvests tomatoes from 100% LED-lighted greenhouse
Since the introduction of the ClimaLED3 at the HortiContact in 2017, Qwestland has been developing continuously. At tomato nursery Lans the first tomatoes were harvested which, according to the company, originate from the largest 100% LED-lighted greenhouse in Europe.
