Ukraine does not currently have domestic manufacturers producing complete greenhouse structures, and the market is supplied by imported solutions and local representative offices. This was stated by Valerii Liashynskyi, director of the greenhouse division at a Ukrainian company, in comments published by Plantator magazine.
According to him, the market is mainly made up of companies that sell finished greenhouses or components, but do not manufacture the full structures themselves. "There are no domestic manufacturers of such structures on the Ukrainian market; there are only representative offices engaged in the sale of ready-made greenhouses," Liashynskyi said.
This leaves the sector dependent on imported technologies and materials, including metal frames and covering materials. At the same time, the production of key greenhouse elements is a complex and capital-intensive segment that requires specialised equipment and stable demand. As a result, the Ukrainian greenhouse market is developing through the integration of foreign manufacturers with local engineering and service companies that adapt these solutions for individual farms.
