Scooter popular mode of transport in the greenhouse

Employees in more and more nurseries are scooting along the greenhouse. The sturdy scooter from Steenks is doing well in the horticulture sector, a year after launching.

High demand for scooter
Christian Heymeriks, Steenks Service: "We have mainly supplied to the Netherlands, but also in Australia, Belgium, and Germany. The response was positive."

Sturdy and maintenance free
The long walking times in the greenhouse gave Steenks the idea to develop the step last year. "Bikes were often used to shorten those times, but the disadvantage of bikes is that they take up a lot of space and require more maintenance, such as flat tires and failing brakes. The scooter can withstand a lot because of the steel frame. Flat tires are not possible with the three solid rubber wheels. These three wheels make sure the scooter is always in upright position."
