Trinidad & Tobago: Aquaponic farmers get refresher course

Beneficiaries of the Digicel Foundation’s Aquaponics programme had the benefit of a refresher workshop on ‘Aquaponics Networking and Sensitisation’, on September 19, 2108.

The event took place at the Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries’ Aquaculture Demonstration Centre, Valsayn.

Participants comprised officials from Special Needs schools across the country, New Life Ministries Drug Rehabilitation Centre and the Youth Training Facility. The training was administered by Harrinarine Lalla, Fisheries Officer at the Aquaculture Division of the Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries and his team. The Aquaculture Division has provided technical and maintenance support for the Foundation’s programme since its launch in 2014.
