The International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA) has opened registration for The Mexico Conference 2026, set to take place from 13 to 14 May in Guadalajara. The conference will bring together leaders from Mexico's fresh produce sector and their global partners for two days of strategic analysis, negotiation and decision making.
Designed specifically for Mexican growers, exporters and fresh produce industry leaders, as well as importers, distributors and retailers with a strong commitment to trade in Mexico, The Mexico Conference is positioned as a working forum where crucial conversations move from uncertainty to action, and where leaders take responsibility for growth, risk management and long term competitiveness in a context shaped by policy shifts, industry challenges and changing global market demand.

A Mexico focused agenda built for decision makers
The 2026 programme centres on the issues expected to shape business performance over the next 6 to 12 months, including:
• USMCA and trade outlook: expert analysis and real time reactions on tariffs, non tariff barriers, market access and policy development.
• Sustainability and water management: practical strategies for one of the most urgent and decisive business challenges in Mexico.
• Technology and labour innovation: tools and approaches that help companies future proof operations and develop talent.
Sessions are structured around expert led discussions, candid insight and clear takeaways designed to support faster and more confident decision making.
Business connections that extend beyond the event
The Mexico Conference also includes high impact business matchmaking sessions that directly connect growers with buyers and commercial partners, creating tangible opportunities that reach far beyond Guadalajara.
Around 500 senior level professionals from Mexico, the United States, Canada and Asia are expected to attend. IFPA is also exploring targeted international participation as part of its global engagement strategy.
"The Mexico Conference is where IFPA brings the industry together to focus on what matters most to Mexican businesses: growth, access, sustainability and influence," said Jessica Keller, Vice President of Global Industry Relations at IFPA. "This event reflects our commitment to serving our members year round with insights and support that translate into real commercial value."
Cathy Burns, chief executive officer of IFPA, will headline the conference with a state of the industry update focused on Mexico, linking global advocacy initiatives, policy developments across North America and other markets, and their specific impact on IFPA members operating in and with Mexico.
"For Mexico's fruit and vegetable sector, this conference is about clarity and connection," said Rubén Ramírez, IFPA manager for Mexico. "Leaders come here to have conversations about strategy, partnerships and investment decisions across the supply chain."
