The Vancouver Entrepreneurs Forum (VEF), supported by Innovate BC's Road to Web Summit Vancouver program, presents an evening showcase featuring twelve women-led ventures ready to compete on a global stage.
The night's standout is PrecisionPest Guard, founded by Ibtehal Al Sallaiy. Her AI-powered greenhouse pest management system detects, quantifies, and precisely treats infestations in real time, dramatically reducing labour costs, minimizing pesticide use, and improving crop yields sustainably. It's exactly the kind of made-in-BC innovation that turns heads at a world stage like Web Summit.
Joining her are founders tackling challenges across climate tech, healthtech, AI, and beyond, including Carbonyx Materials, Reusables, Cypress Falls Technologies, eSense Health, Heyya, Ilixur, Jointly Solutions, Kalino Bio, Petal.ai, and Tersa Earth Innovations. All have completed a pitch and investor-readiness bootcamp in preparation for the evening.
Pitches will be evaluated by judges from InBC Investment Corp, Vanedge Capital, and the VEF board. The evening also features a one-of-a-kind keynote from Dr. Marissa Lithopoulos of Beaker Banter, where science, comedy, and music collide.
