Manisha Exports is one of the largest manufacturers and exporters of Coconut fiber, natural fiber, and coconut substrate products in Sri Lanka. The new subsidiary, Manisha Trading Canada, has been established in Oshawa, Ontario, to serve exclusively the growers and distributors in the North American market.
"We have arranged an introductory offering of samples along with a technical specification of the product portfolio to Ontario growers, distributors, and interested parties during the later part of March," says Remco Kostwinder, showing how the product range includes growing bags for cucumber, capsicum, tomato, and berries with different blend ratios of cocopeat and coconut chips for optimal growth and productivity. "Then there's also open-top bags for hemp and medicinal herbs with different EC, PH, and Expansion levels."
The plugs, disks, and propagation blocks with natural latex layered micro green slabs provide complete soilless growth technology from the seedlings to the matured plant. The in-house production facility located in five different geographic locations in Sri Lanka is a certified GMP-accredited production facility with US OMRi and Canadian OMRi certifications.
"We have initiated the registration of the RHP and the ISO 14001 standard accreditation and are looking forward to the certification soon", says Remco. "All the shipment undergoes a rigorous quality procedure, and random samples are drawn from the independent laboratory (SGS laboratory) for basic chemical parameters analysis as well heavy metals and microbial counts."
