Horconex receives HortiQ certificate

On Monday, 21 November, Horconex received the HortiQ certificate from Harm Maters, chairman of HortiQ. This means that the Poeldijk-based company (with branches in France and the Netherlands) meets the requirements for the quality system for greenhouses and installations. Jeroen Heemskerk, financial director at Horconex: "The HortiQ certificate is confirmation for Horconex that the greenhouses we supply meet industry standards. We already knew this ourselves, but it is now also established in the HortiQ certificate."

The large-scale nature of projects is increasing, but they are also becoming technically more complex. Moreover, clients are increasingly looking for turnkey solutions and transparent quality. This is why HortiQ and six leading greenhouse builders launched the Dutch integral HortiQ certificate: an independent and objective quality system for Dutch greenhouse builders, installation companies, and other technical suppliers in greenhouse horticulture. Meanwhile, 21 greenhouse builders and technical installers have received the HortiQ certificate.

'Confirmation of high quality'
Horconex, with branches in the Netherlands and France, was founded in 1986 and carries out complete horticultural projects. Jeroen Heemskerk: "We offer high-tech total solutions for greenhouse construction. Our goal: the most appropriate, cost-efficient, and effective solutions for our clients. With the motto 'once a Horconex customer, always a Horconex customer.' Over the years, Horconex has built up a broad, loyal European customer base."

Being able to deliver consistent, proven quality is important in this respect, says Heemskerk. "We already worked to a high standard but have now further enshrined this in our working method with these quality marks. HortiQ and ISO give an extra impulse to the continuous improvement of what we do and is a confirmation of our high quality for us and our customers."

HortiQ chairman Harm Maters: "A certificate like HortiQ is very valuable in the growing national and international market. A Dutch integral certificate helps to further profile the Netherlands' quality-oriented image. It is therefore very positive that Horconex - a leading supplier of turnkey projects - has also joined the other companies that are already certified."
