Construction work starts on new Rijk Zwaan Trial Center

Rijk Zwaan is building a new High Tech Trial Center for fruit crops close to its headquarters in De Lier, the Netherlands. It is scheduled to open for growers and other visitors in the second half of 2022.

The new High Tech Trial Center will be completely up to date and will support the very latest growing techniques, thus facilitating the collection of extensive crop data. As a result, the new High Tech Trial Center will give visitors an even better insight into how our vegetable varieties perform compared to their own production situation. Besides tomato trials, the new facility will also conduct trials with cucumbers and sweet peppers.

As an added advantage, the High Tech Trial Center is located just a short distance from the company’s head office in De Lier.

Marco van Leeuwen, Managing Director of Rijk Zwaan, explains more about the new High Tech Trial Center in a video here.
