Belaya Dacha to double tomato production in Stavropol

Belaya Datcha are launching the second phase of the greenhouse complex Dolina Solntsa in the Predgorny region in Stavropol in November this year. This will allow them to double the tomato productivity, up to 5 thousand tons a year, reported the general director of LLC Dolina Solntsa, Mr. Yanis Galanidi.

At the end of 2017, Belaya Datcha launched the first phase of the greenhouse complex with a value of 35 million euros for growing various kinds of lettuce and tomatoes on an overall acreage of six hectares. As of today, Dolina Solntsa are producing about 300 thousand tons of lettuce and 2 thousand tons of tomatoes a year.

“In November the second phase should be fully ready for launch”, mentioned Mr. Galanidi. He also specified that the acreage of the new greenhouses should comprise 7.5 ha and they will be fully allocated for tomatoes. “The productivity is planned at a level of 5 thousand tons”, added Mr. Galanidi.

Merlice is the main variety of tomato grown by the enterprise, another dozen varieties are being tested. The produce is delivered to processing plants within the import replacement project.

Belaya Datcha specializes in development projects in industrial, commercial and residential property. One of the company's interest fields is growing lettuce and producing lettuce mixes. The company supplies produce to McDonald's, KFC and Burger King restaurants throughout Russia.
