Russia: A greenhouse worth 17 million euro launched in Bryansk

The new enterprise will allow for the 76% of increase of greenhouse vegetable production growth in the region, reported the Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Mr. Dmitriy Patrushev in the official opening ceremony.

“The complex is being launched phase by phase, the first seedlings have been planted and soon we will all be able to taste the vegetables produced here. The capacity is rather impressive for Bryansk region, thanks to which the overall greenhouse vegetable production in the region will increase by 76%. In all, including the produce of the given complex, Bryansk region will be producing 11 thousand tons of greenhouse vegetables”, noted Mr. Patrushev.

The governor of the region, Mr. Aleksander Bogomaz remarked that in the first phase of the complex construction, 5 thousand tons of produce will be grown. “It is most important that the complex will allow revive the settlement and will create new working places”, noted the head of the region.

The overall acreage of the complex will comprise 7.2 ha, tomatoes and cucumbers will be grown there.
