Germany: Exhibition showcases plants in space

How can astronauts feed themselves in space? Where does their food come from, where does the oxygen that they need to breathe come from?

Today, the foundations for these future technologies are already being developed. The exhibition “Plants in Space” provides insight into current space research in the realm of cultivating plants in space. Opened on 7 June 2019, it is an expansion of botanika’s current exhibition content and botanical collection.

The exhibition is jointly operated by the German Aerospace Center in Bremen and the plant propagation experts of Bock BioScience.
