Greenhouse cucumber cultivation in Lesser Poland Voivodeship

Growers in the Nowy Sącz region in Poland have been specialising in the production of midi cucumbers. One of the farms grows Pacto F1 cucumbers. Take a look at what they looked like in March.

The Pacto F1 variety plants are grown using the umbrella system. They are planted in stonewool substrates Grodan GT Master in the first week of January.

The first commercial harvest of the cucumbers took place in the first week of February. Cucumbers are harvested four times a week. In March, the plants were in very good condition.

Pacto cucumber is grown on 1.5 hectares and growers recommend it for early planting in January. From the beginning of cultivation, the plants were fed carbon dioxide.

Biological crop protection is used in the cucumber greenhouse. The plants are grown on a 2.2-meter trellis with three side shoots. At night, the temperature in the object is lowered to 17 degrees Celsius.
