Netherlands: Wageningen UR 11 years in a row best university full-time education

For the 11th consecutive year, Wageningen University is the best university in The Netherlands. The study guide 'Keuzegids Universiteiten 2016' of the Centre for Higher Education Information (CHOI) also qualifies most studies as Top-quality programme. The university proves that quality of education can go hand in hand with growing student numbers. ‘That’s a performance in itself,’ states the Keuzegids.

In the whole of The Netherlands, 52 programmes have been qualified as 'Top-quality programmes', so that means a quarter of them are in Wageningen. The Keuzegids was published on 2 Novembre 2015.

Best programmes

Wageningen University saw all its study programmes get good reviews. Out of the 19 bachelor programmes, 15 were qualified as 'Top-quality programme' by the Keuzegids. Top-quality means that they were given a score of 76 or higher (out of 100). All programmes were rated by education experts and students. The three courses with the highest scores are the Wageningen University bachelor programmes Plant Sciences (92), Molecular Life Sciences (90) and International Land and Water Management (90).

Excellent results in the area of research, teaching and citations compared with other universities were largely responsible for Wageningen’s high score. Furthermore, Wageningen finished way ahead of all other Dutch universities on this list.
