NL: Grower has greenhouse partially filled with solar panels

A grower from Velden recently had over 7,600 solar panels installed on his greenhouse, accounting for over 1.3 hectares of greenhouse cover. The project was preceded by 2.5 years of preparation. The grower will experiment in the greenhouse with growing different types of crops, such as leafy vegetables and pumpkins, according to Protium, which is active in the solar panel business.

The total installation, masterminded by Robisol, has a capacity of 3,129MWp. Robisol refers to it as a 'Sunpark Canopy.' Besides Protium and Robisol, Kerklaan Greenhouses and Eturn were also involved in the project.

A video about the project can be seen on YouTube. At Solar Magazine, the engineering parties involved talk more about the project. Read that article here (in Dutch).
