BioSafe Systems adds team member to the water treatment division

Andrew Z. Skibo, Ph.D., joins the Lake, Pond, and Municipal (LPM) Waters team as a consultant for the lake, pond, and municipal water management. Dr. Skibo is a Certified Lake Manager (CLM) with more than sixteen years of extensive experience in managing invasive weed species, studying aquatic plant biology and plant management, and has a personal interest in the environmental fate of aquatic herbicides and algaecides. He is based out of Western Montana and will be representing the Pacific Northwest of the United States, though his knowledge is going to permeate the LPM Division from coast to coast as he participates in environmental research, product development, and case studies.

He started his own consulting firm, Amaruq Environmental Services, in 2015 in Anchorage, Alaska, to provide control of nuisance vegetation to increase safety for seaplane navigation and recreational activity. Outside of Alaska, the company restores, maintains, and protects lakes, rivers, and reservoirs across the Western United States. Dr. Skibo incorporated BioSafe System’s products into his firm’s best management practices several years ago and has testified to their efficacy in the field.
