First harvest in herb grower's new greenhouse

Last March, Piet van Vugt put his signature on the purchase of a new horticultural site just 750 meters away from the main location of Van Vugt Kruiden in Ridderkerk. At this new location, the growers will cultivate basil, chervil, coriander, and dill, among other things. The greenhouse has a surface area of 3.4 ha.

The past few months were all about preparation.
Everything was cleaned, the soil was prepared and steamed for the herb cultivation, and, of course, sowing took place. By the end of July, the time had come: the first basil could be harvested. The growers are very happy to be able to add these meters to the Dutch cultivation locations.
