A Lincolnshire-based company which supplies lettuces and salad onions has grown its turnover and returned to making a pre-tax profit.
Jepco, which is based in Gedney Marsh, near Spalding, has posted a turnover of £13.7m for the year to 31 January 2019, up from £10.2m in the prior 12 months. It has also achieved a pre-tax profit of £430,089 after making a loss of £1.7m.
A statement signed off by the board said: "The current business environment for SMEs in our sector is one of reducing prices and increasing costs, leading to significant pressure on trading margins.
