Misionero, a grower of organic leafy greens, has announced the relaunch of Salade du Soleil, a salad brand Misionero created over 20 years ago. The line will include three brand new salad blends: Originale, Verte and Rouge.
Misionero noted that in years past, most spring salad mixes were thought to be less firm in texture, which it says led to a decrease in sales. The Salade du Soleil line is brought about by allowing greens to fully mature before harvesting, which the company says results in a heartier mix that pairs and stands up better with dressings.
“At Misionero, we are committed to innovation that allows us to continuously strengthen both our food service and retail product lines,” said Nicole Zapata, marketing manager at Misionero. “When we were searching for a unique spring mix, we immediately thought of Salade du Soleil and knew the timing was perfect to revive the brand.”
The first additions to the Salade du Soleil product line are Orginale, Verte and Rouge spring mixes. The Originale is a blend of salad greens that Misionero says not only offer great taste and texture, but also a beautiful color variety for the plate. The Verte mix uses whole, green lettuce leaves while the Rouge uses whole, red lettuce leaves.
The new Salade du Soleil line will be making its debut at the Organic Produce Summit at booth # 819.
