A level ground is important for growing in the soil in a greenhouse. Lowered and raised parts of the soil surface disturb the cultivation. Regular use of a laser board or leveler is the solution, according to the men of Weterings Mechanisatie.
Such a board is pulled by a tractor and must be able to make tight turns in order to level the entire surface of the greenhouse. Lasers are used when leveling the soil. The reference height and slope are determined with the help of the laser's rays. The glass of the modern greenhouse often contains aluminum particles in the facade panels. Those particles cause the laser rays to reflect. The result is as can be expected: malfunctions and irregularities in the leveling process.
Nick Weterings and Rob van den Berg
Weterings has, together with a partner, devised a solution for this. This new laser board control system is insensitive to reflections, so that the ground surface can be leveled perfectly in each greenhouse. The laser control is tailor-made for Weterings laser boards and, thanks to various automatic functions, is very easy to use.
Weterings laser boards are also used to level the ground surface in preparation for the construction of greenhouses. When the greenhouse is ready, the soil is completely leveled again, after which the concrete path, the floors and/or the pipe rail system can be installed. The system takes the slope in the greenhouse into account. Weterings’ laser boards are available in various sizes and designs, so that for every situation a suitable solution is available.
