CAN (ON): Ag Energy Co-operative CEO, Rose Marie Gage, announces retirement

Ag Energy Co-operative announces that CEO, Rose Marie Gage, will be retiring on April 27, 2019.

“The Board is grateful for the leadership that Rose has brought to Ag Energy and the agriculture and energy sectors during her nine-year tenure, and for the exceptional team she has developed and left us with,” says William Ravensbergen, Chair of the Board of Directors. “The Board thanks Rose for her service and impact, and we wish her all the best as she embarks upon her new journey.”

During her nine years as CEO, Ms. Gage is credited with strategically growing the Co-op along with her team, developing the staff and contributing to many different agricultural-based organizations and business associations. She has advocated on behalf of Ag Energy and the agriculture and energy sectors for progressive change such as the Energy Consumer Protection Act exemption, the Ontario and Federal Carbon Programs, CHSOP, and the Ontario Co-op Act.

“It is time for me to enjoy my family, spend time on my health, travel, and continuing to make a difference for our communities as a Board director and advisor. I look forward to using some of the best practices shared by our Co-op members to grow my own vegetables and flowers in our garden. I am excited to pursue passions from my 'life well lived list' that have been waiting patiently. My role at Ag Energy has been a dream come true. Our Members are amazing to work with and are the cornerstone of the Ontario economy. It has been a true pleasure working with our dedicated Board of Directors, the talented Ag Energy team and all the stakeholders and contributors that have allowed us to thrive and grow over the years,” concludes Rose.

The Board of Directors is working on a transition plan that will ensure that the Members continue receiving service without interruption, and that recruitment for its new leader happens in due course.
