Den Berk on its new brand of tomatoes

Den Berk Délice will present Délice and the retail experience during Fruit Logistica in Berlin. Paul Van De Mierop: "The past years we have built a strong position in the market and we have been named as one of the fastest growing companies in Belgium by Trends Gazelle. Our main goal is to let the consumer enjoy the tastiest tomatoes 365 days a year. "

Van De Mierop: “The buying behavior and lifestyle of the consumer has changed rapidly in recent years, which requires a new approach to the market. That is why we reviewed the current brands and took them to a next level. A brand must give confidence and recognizability to the consumer. That is why it is important that the product is always right."

"We have our own production year-round, which is managed by the same team. Now, in 2019, we can state that we can get the best out of our greenhouse to bring together under an umbrella brand, due to the knowledge and experience we have built up over the past years. This means that we can continuously offer the consumer the same top quality and the same delicious tomatoes." Van De Mierop says

That is how the umbrella brand ‘Délice’ came into existence, a brand that guarantees quality. The tomato varieties we offer under the Délice brand are the finest from our greenhouses in terms of quality and flavour. Our brand portfolio, which we will market under Délice as of now, has been composed on the basis of both consumer and retailer needs as current trends.

This creates a new focus on the emotional aspects of the different tomatoes and introduces new moments of use. Therefore making our brands relevant to the consumer and the retailer. Taking into account the needs and trends from the market, we aim for less plastic in the fruit and vegetable shelf and consequently less plastic in our own packaging.”

Den Berk Délice proudly presents the new brand at Fruit Logistica in Berlin. As a member of Coöperatie Hoogstraten cv., the contemporary brand portfolio of Den Berk Délice can be viewed at the Coöperatie Hoogstraten booth.

Alongside the unveiling of the new brand, Den Berk Délice and Coöperatie Hoogstraten also take the visitors along for a unique Retail Experience. A space devoted entirely to inspiration and ways to further develop and upgrade the fruit and vegetable shelf.
