Russia: Year-round greenhouse complex to be built in Moscow region

A year-round greenhouse complex for growing vegetables will be built in the Astapovo village in the Moscow region, reported the minister of Moscow construction, Mr. Ruslan Tagiyev.

“The project is carried out with the assistance of the Center for Moscow construction facilitation. The project cost is estimated at 117 million euros”, reported Mr. Tagiyev.

According to Mr. Tagiyev, the construction works are planned to be completed next year. The launch will allow for the creation of 640 working places.

In June 2018, the governor, Mr. Andrey Vorobyov, announced that by the end of 2018 the region will be fully sufficient in terms of greenhouse vegetable supplies. According to him, recently the greenhouse sector has been rapidly developing in the region. He assured that the authorities are going to support this sphere.

In all, there are eight greenhouse construction projects carried out in the region at the moment.
