Rijk Zwaan Hellas welcomed a wide range of growers, distributors, retailers and food processors for their first open field days in Greece, which took place for three days (16-17-18/11/2016) in the Iria area in Argolis, Peloponese.
The weather was great and the crops were in excellent condition. Visitors could take a look at Rijk Zwaan’s wide lettuce assortment, suitable for production in northern, central and southern Greece.
Among the highlights were Salanova and Rijk Zwaan’s recent breakthrough innovation Knox, that reduces pinking in lettuce leaves after cutting. The whole event was covered by the biggest agricultural newspaper in Greece "Agrenda" and at the end everybody had a feeling of satisfaction, as well as excitement for an upcoming event, due to this promising first attempt of the very young subsidiary.
