Europe: Polyscias is houseplant of the month in October
Flower Council Holland (BBH) turns the spotlight on another houseplant each month. In October the honour goes to Polyscias. Polyscias grows rapidly into a strapping plant reaching 1 - 1.5 meter high, making it impossible to ignore. This month consumers and the press will be informed about this shade-loving plant. The campaign is being conducted in the Netherlands, France, Germany, Great Britain and Italy.
FloraHolland informs the trade about the houseplant of the month campaign through product presentations at various locations. For example, Connect highlights the new 'Houseplant of the month' in the presentation areas in Naaldwijk and Aalsmeer each month. A focus is also put on the houseplant of the month in the clock auction rooms.
Florists and garden centres can download the Polyscias poster from the BBH website. These posters can be used to draw attention to Polyscias on the shopfloor.
Along with promotional material, florists and staff of garden centres receive background information and tips for caring for the product from Flower Council Holland. It is all useful because consumers are becoming increasingly interested in the story behind the product.
