Netherlands Second location for plant breeder A. Schreurs
Plant breeder A. Schreurs recently opened up a new location. In the Dutch greenhouse district California an existing company was acquired and renewed. "It looks brand new," says the satisfied grower Twan Schreurs.
The old location in Sevenum had no more room for expansion. "Therefore we have chosen to take over an existing greenhouse business (3.5 hectares), two kilometres away,” says Twan.
Of the acquired company, 2 hectares was demolished and completely renewed. The demolition work was conducted by demolition company Gerards from Velden. Joost Kerklaan provided a used greenhouse (2 ha). Electricity and heating, computer and water installations come from BE de Lier in Sevenum, the concrete work and installation of screen from Maurice Kassenbouw from Horst aan de Maas.
The new warehouse with loading docks is equipped with a 16-meter lattice and solar panels by Westland Solar. "With most vendors we were familiar," says Schreurs . "Only with Joost Kerklaan we had no experience, but we can recommend this company wholeheartedly. We have come to know him as someone who keeps his word, delivers good work and is very flexible.”
