UK: Man dies after fire breaks out at greenhouse

A man has died after a fire broke out in a greenhouse in a Herefordshire village. Fire crews, paramedics, and police officers were called to the quiet cul-de-sac of Hardinge Close in Holme Lacy yesterday evening (February 11), after a greenhouse fire broke out.

A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said a man in his 80s was found dead at the scene.

The force added that his death is not being treated as suspicious.

Three crews from Fownhope, Hereford, and Ross-on-Wye Fire Stations raced to the scene after being called just before 5pm, with reports of a fire with "persons reported", a spokesperson for Hereford and Worcester Fire Service confirmed.
