WayBeyond announced the launch of the Inside Climate Prediction feature as part of their FarmRoad crop protection platform.
With billion-dollar weather and climate disasters increasing due to climate change and increasing scarcity of global water supplies, growers need the most accurate and relevant forecasts possible to effectively optimize their water use and manage the health of their crops.
Inside Climate Prediction transforms irrigation management through the combination of climate sensors, low-Earth orbit satellite data, and artificial intelligence (AI) to give growers hyper-local forecasts to optimize their water and ensure resilience against changing environmental conditions.
Precision irrigation solutions
The Inside Climate Prediction feature is part of WayBeyond's irrigation solution, which includes FarmRoad Outside Climate Forecasts and Drip and Drain Monitoring.
The new irrigation feature gives AI-powered forecasts that reflect the growers' actual protected growing environment, creating powerful hyper-local forecasts for irrigation management.

Climate sensors, satellite data and AI-driven insights
Inside Climate Prediction utilizes the power of sensors, satellite data and AI to provide climate forecasts for protected cropping environments, including greenhouses and tunnels. Combining advanced AI models with real-time data from WayBeyond sensors and industry weather services, the Inside Climate Prediction feature generates hyper-local climate predictions with up to 97% accuracy.
For the first time, growers can now use localized climate insights to optimize their irrigation and fertigation schedules, anticipate pest and disease outbreaks, and plan planting and harvesting based on the actual conditions on their farms.
The new feature includes hourly forecasts up to 48 hours in advance for temperature, radiation, relative humidity, vapor pressure deficit, and evapotranspiration. The feature also provides daily climate forecasts for up to seven days ahead, offering growers a clear outlook for planning and decision-making.
