Turkmenistan exports first crops from Düzmergen greenhouse

A modern greenhouse, commissioned in the fall of 2020 in Balkanabat, is the result of comprehensive measures to support and stimulate small and medium businesses taken by the state.

The greenhouse, built in the Duzmergen Valley at the foot of the Great Balkan Mountains, belongs to businessman Halmammet Amanmammedov, an active member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan. The greenhouse farm is fully equipped with advanced equipment made in Turkey and the Netherlands, and new technologies and advanced developments are used. It is noteworthy that the total tomato harvest in the greenhouse last season exceeded a thousand tons for the first time.

The heating, humidification and irrigation systems here also function automatically. It is also worth noting that the greenhouse, designed for growing various types of vegetables and having a total area of five hectares, created about sixty work places.

The tomato harvest here is at a high level and in the first month of the new 2025, declared as the International Year of Peace and Trust, it is regularly supplied to consumers in the domestic and foreign markets. This is evidenced by the fact that entrepreneurs have recently begun to export high-quality, environmentally friendly and competitive products to the Russian Federation.
