Plants in second phase of semi-closed greenhouse Cuihu Project

Kingpeng started construction of the second phase of the Cuihu Smart Agriculture Innovation Center in July 2023, and first plants went in last week, on May 31 2024. THe project consists of 112,000 square meters of smart greenhouses and supporting facilities, including 57,000 square meters of high-efficiency fruit and vegetable production greenhouses, 35,000 square meters of semi-closed greenhouses, and 20,000 square meters of propagation, research , and demonstration greenhouses.

The glass greenhouse adopts Dutch facility agriculture technology, integrating soilless cultivation, water and fertilizer integration system, intelligent environmental control system, etc.

The spacious and bright greenhouse is like a modern "agricultural factory", full of technology everywhere. Climate corridors are arranged on the north and south sides of the greenhouse, and heat, cooling, and CO2 are evenly distributed to every corner of the greenhouse through AHU climate units, regulating the overall environment of the greenhouse. "This enables the facility to achieve summer production in Beijing, and create the best growth environment for tomato production", the team says.
