Mushroom producer in Tatarstan, Russia, increases yield by 25%

The IGS Agro, the largest mushroom producer in Tatarstan, has increased its mushroom yield by 25% in the first four months of this year compared to 2023. The company set a monthly record in April by harvesting 425 tons of mushrooms.

Established in 2019, IGS Agro produces both white and royal mushrooms and plans to expand its variety further. Using the highly efficient Dutch cultivation technology, IGS Agro operates a full production cycle, from compost preparation to mushroom harvesting.

IGS Agro's mushrooms are widely distributed across major cities in Tatarstan and other Russian regions, and they are available in major federal retail chains.

Currently, IGS Agro ranks eighth in mushroom production in Russia. Last year, the company produced nearly 3,900 tons of mushrooms and aims to increase this to 5,000 tons in 2024. Since the beginning of the year, production has already exceeded 1,700 tons.

According to Azat Shaidullin, the General Director of the complex, the mushroom production volume in Russia has increased tenfold over the past seven years.
