Investment: 2 ha tunnel under construction to cultivate berries in Bilyaivka, Ukraine

Bilyaivka is seeing the development of a large berry cultivation greenhouse complex, slated for completion by summer 2024. This project, realized by entrepreneur Serhiy Ukrayintsev, aims to create jobs and foster agricultural innovation.

The complex, funded through a grant program, will initially cover 2 hectares and utilize tunnel greenhouse technology for weather-independent berry production.

Plans include expanding cultivation to include raspberries and establishing post-harvest processing facilities.

The flexibility of the construction method allows for potential relocation, if necessary, ensuring cost-effectiveness.

Serhiy Ukrayintsev underscores the efficacy of tunnel structures, citing European success stories. He plans to expand cultivation to include raspberries within the tunnels, with the first blueberry harvest expected in 2024.

The initiative also promotes the formation of an agro-cluster among local farmers.
