In the greenhouse of Willem Ligtendag and his wife in Sint-Annaland, Zeeland, the first potatoes were once again harvested just before Easter. A little further in Zeeland, in Koudekerke at Tuindersbedrijf Kesteloo, the same was happening. Nieuwe Oogst spoke with Willem, who aims to harvest all Doré potatoes by May 1 in a 1000 square meter greenhouse. After that, the seed cultivation begins.
In Koudekerke, it's the Frieslanders that are being harvested. This weekend, the growers from Koudekerke are participating in the "Kom in de Kas" event.
