New berry vending machines delights Estonians

It seems Estonians can't get enough of their favorite berries with a new berry vending machine supplied by No Bananas. The machine supplies blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, and peas in different sizes and gets restocked at least once a day. Berry aficionado Andero Keronen, owner of No Bananas, says, "Our new vending machine is super cool, works for us 24/7 if needed, and never gets tired. The machine keeps the berries at +3 degrees for a long shelf life."

No Bananas is active across Estonia, the northernmost of the three Baltic countries, with Latvia and Lithuania being the other two. The company sells strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, and peas in 100+ service points in stores and malls across Estonia. As part of its Baltic berry revolution No Bananas expanded to Latvia earlier last year, with the aim to have 400 selling points across the region.

The company has again innovated with the berry vending machines. The packaging, as well as price points, remain the same as at the retailers, which is familiar to Estonian consumers. Keronen is happy with people's positive reactions to the machines. "I would say the people's reaction is, in one word, great. Many people here are open to new things. The packaging is exactly the same as we are using for supermarkets, and prices will remain the same as at our other No Bananas selling points. It is really easy to buy, with card payments only, and the machine works quickly."

"We restock the machines a minimum of once a day, but in our case, we visit each of our shops many times per day. Which is a positive problem for us to have, of course. We are really excited to see the future of this new concept and hope that it will help us to find new growth opportunities," concludes Keronen.
