Kazakhstan: The success of the “Aul Amanat” Program and Innovative practices in greenhouse complexes

The “Aul Amanat” program has gained significant popularity in the Ordabasy district, prompting more local farmers to venture into the greenhouse business. Fresh vegetables are becoming increasingly valuable to residents, particularly during the off-season.

A press tour highlighted the operations of the “Sultanberdi” greenhouse complex in the Shubar rural district. Established four years ago with an initial one-hectare footprint, the complex expanded due to successful earnings, with a total investment of 420 million tenges.

Notably, the industrial greenhouse features South Korean equipment and a unique technology employing double-layered curtains filled with goose down, efficiently preserving warmth and reducing coal consumption. The complex uses drip irrigation for water conservation and targeted delivery of mineral fertilizers to each plant. Climate control is maintained through sensors that respond to temperature and humidity variations.

The director emphasizes the importance of embracing advanced technologies to enhance agricultural productivity, automate processes, and achieve high yields. The complex adapts to seasonal changes, monitors greenhouse innovations, and markets its produce in various regions, including Turkistan, Karaganda, Almaty, and Shymkent.
