Gartenbauzentrale eG:

Mini cucumber harvest seven days a week

The Kartzinski farm is located in the Gärtnersiedlung Halte and originally specialized in growing ornamental plants. At that time, bedding and balcony plants, as well as cyclamen and chrysanthemums, were grown here. In 2001, Friedhelm Kartzinski (master craftsman in ornamental plant cultivation) took over the business from his father, Karl, and continued to produce flowers. In 2015, Friedhelm started growing mini cucumbers. Today, Friedhelm is a sought-after mini cucumber expert at Gartenbauzentrale eG (FreshPlaza.de reported).

The first mini cucumber plants are planted in mid-February so that they can be harvested in March. (10-14 days after flowering). New cucumber plants are planted in the greenhouse three times a year to ensure a consistent harvest. Harvesting takes place seven days a week.
