Singapore: Meet 30+ startups at the Asia-Pacific Agri-Food Innovation Summit

Meet the innovators accelerating the transition to a climate-smart food system at the Asia-Pacific Agri-Food Innovation Summit on 31 October – 2 November, Singapore.

As climate change and population growth increasingly put increasing pressure on the stability of food production and distribution, new technologies and solutions are emerging to change Asia’s agri-food systems.

Working with international investors, accelerators, and incubators Grow, Enterprise Singapore, Trendlines Group, and The Yield Lab Asia Pacific, the summit will showcase the most innovative and exciting early-stage companies to present their breakthrough technologies and solutions during the Daily Pitching Hours and in the Start-Up Arena.

The event’s flourishing Start-Up Arena will introduce a diverse selection of early-stage agri-food entrepreneurs from around the world. Delegates will have the opportunity to connect with founders and innovation teams at their booths and get up-to-date with the most recent developments.

Taking place on all three days of the summit, each Pitch Hour is dedicated to a sector: Agri-Tech, Food-Tech, Indoor AgTech, and Blue Food, allowing start-ups to take to the main stage and present their technology or solution directly to an engaged target audience of investors and potential corporate partners.

Some of the exciting innovators featured include:

Agri-Tech: Agros (Singapore), Bloomfield Robotics (USA), Ecophage (Israel), Gra&Green (Japan), Hillridge Technologies (Australia), Plantae Bioscience (Israel), Polkinghornes (Singapore), Rainstick (Australia) – with solutions ranging from solar water irrigation systems and biodynamic farming airdromes to farm robotics, weather-based insurance platforms, crop intelligence systems, biopesticides, and novel variable electric field technologies, fully biodegradable BHPV plastics, and sustainable beef production systems.

Food-Tech: Allium Bio (Singapore), Allozymes (Singapore), Biotic (Israel), Fisheroo (Singapore), Forsea (Israel), Jimi Biotech (China), Microharvest (Germany), Prefer (Singapore), Reewild (Uk), Solveat (Israel) – offering new developments in cell-cultivated meat and seafood, biomass fermentation, functional ingredients, customized enzymes, next-gen bean-free coffee, and climate tech platforms.

Indoor AgTech: Aerospring Hydroponics (Singapore), Agroscout (Israel), Ag-Uni (South Korea), Avisomo (Norway), Mpw Technologies International (Singapore), Vgreens (Germany) – with modular vertical farming systems, automated vertical farms, AI & gene-editing technologies, low-pressure hydroponics, and energy-efficient lighting.

Blue Food: Biofishency (Israel), Insectta (Singapore), Luminis Water Technologies (Singapore), Probiotics (Singapore), Seedling (Malaysia), Seaweedery (Australia), – presenting functional seaweed, marine and insect extracts for feed and food, microbiome analysis and eDNA, RAS water treatment solutions, and synthetic biology alternatives to antibiotics.

The program also features the climax of the Innovation Challenge with the Thai Union for start-ups developing ‘Novel Ingredients and Applications from Ocean-Derived Ingredients’. Shortlisted from over 60 high-level global applicants, three finalists, Ingrediome (Israel), 350PPM Biotech (Germany), And Ooceanium (UK), will pitch their solutions live on stage, with the winner unlocking valuable bespoke mentorship and R&D support from Thai Union’s global innovation team.
