Spain, Poland, the Netherlands, Germany, Great Britain, and Australia are just a few of the countries of origin of the operators who attended the "Gil Program Annual Event" organized in Cesena (Italy) by G-Berries on September 26, 2023.

The purpose of the event was to take stock of research on berries. The program featured a guided tour of the research center currently under construction and of the new laboratories, where a panel test was carried out. The new selections were then illustrated with some news concerning Macfrut.
Matteo Molari indicating the future path of the company
"They are companies from all over the world, which we collaborate with when it comes to berries, especially raspberries. We organized the event to discuss research and announce our new collaboration in Australia, where we will have experimental fields for varieties from the southern hemisphere," reported Matteo Molari.

The first stop on the tour was the new "Cerchia 2" breeding center. "The flood in May caused a lot of damage. We have had over 70 cm of water for multiple days, which meant all our programs had to be delayed by one year. Bureaucracy also slowed things down, so we will be fully operational over the next few months."
Of course, the entire event was conducted in English. In the afternoon, the project for a space dedicated to berries at Macfrut 2024 was presented. If things go to plan, G-Berries will act as a catalyst, attracting companies from all over the world.
"We would like to set up a large exhibition space that could become a sort of innovation place for berries. Some international companies have already communicated their availability, so we believe everything will go smoothly."
