"Where flowers bloom, so does hope"

China: Children’s Day at Railway Corps Hope School with Dümmen Orange

Every child is a unique kind of flower, and together they create a magnificent garden for the world. In celebration of a special Children's Day event arranged by Greenland Group, Dümmen Orange hosted an engaging floral arrangement workshop for the children at Railway Corps Hope School in Luoji Mountain, Puge County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture.

The Children's Day event ran from May 31 to June 1, featuring a variety of activities. These activities included a performance by kindergarten and primary school children, a book donation from Shanghai to the senior high, a sharing session with indigenous people from Taiwan. An open workshop on flower arranging and a prize presentation ceremony. The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Wang, a dedicated benefactor who has been supporting the school for the past 20 years.

Dümmen Orange donated 1,000 fresh-cut flowers, providing the children at the Hope School with a memorable experience through a workshop hosted by Luo Qiongying, a floral designer with 20 years of experience and a Distinguished Instructor of Floral Arrangement at Tainan Public Library, previously and N.I.F.A (New International Floral Art) Professor at the ITRI (Industrial Technology Research Institute) Tainan campus in Taiwan. Luo has lent her creative touch to numerous international flower shows and floral expos. Her exceptional work was recognized with the gold award for environmental excellence at the 10th China Flower Expo held in Shanghai in 2021.

The fresh-cut flowers donated by Dümmen Orange included Classic Roses (Kingsday+, Avalanche+®, Sweet Avalanche+®, Peach Avalanche+®), Carnations (Mustang, Damascus, Copacabana), and Cut Chrysanthemums (Grand Salmon, Kindly Orange, Feeling Green Dark, Katy). A specially designed Children's Day sticker was thoughtfully created and attached to the shipping box.

The workshop organized by Dümmen Orange provided a captivating experience, immersing the children in the enchanting world of flowers while expressing gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of the event. Inspired by a special certificate of merit received from the Railway Corps Hope School, Dümmen Orange remains steadfast in its commitment to fostering a better world through the cultivation of extraordinary flowers and plants as a one of the leaders in ornamental breeding.
