Ledestar collaborates with Shanxi Agricultural University's Tomato Industry Research Institute

New laboratory to research light spectra in tomato plants

Recently, Ledestar joined hands with the Tomato Industry Research Institute of Shanxi Agricultural University to establish the "LED Broad Spectrum Photosynthetic Efficiency Laboratory."

Previously, the two parties cooperated in a one-year experimental project aimed at developing innovative lighting solutions for tomato cultivation. Through advanced LED and spectral experiments, indoor growing conditions are continuously optimized to improve the quality and quantity of tomato production.

The Institute will specialize in developing new technologies to improve agricultural practices. It will particularly focus on exploring how different light spectra affect the growth and yield of tomato plants. This includes studying how different colors affect plant development and health and conducting spectral experiments to study how different wavelengths affect plant metabolism objects, colors, and flavour.

Through the combination of expertise of both parties, Ledestar is committed to developing optimal lighting solutions to improve plant quality and yield while reducing energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.

Ledestar at Greentech Amsterdam
At the Greentech Amsterdam in June 2023, Ledestar will also showcase its own innovative horticultural lighting solutions.

Compared with last year, its LEDs have undergone some performance optimizations, including the improvement of the white light parameters of models 2835 and 3030, the improvement of the red light parameters of the 3535 models, and the optimization of the special COB for plant lighting.

As the company is attending GreenTech this June, anyone interested is welcome to visit our booth 05.116 at Greentech.
