Movement of blueberries through Arizona, California, and Texas expected to increase

The movement of blueberries through Arizona, California, and Texas is expected to increase. Trading active at higher prices. Flats 12 1-pint cups with lids, mostly 34.00. Flats 12 6-ounce cups with lids, mostly 18.00. Weather conditions continue to have an impact on the growing regions, affecting harvest and availability. Many present shipments from prior bookings and/or previous commitments. Quality is reported as generally good.

The movement of blueberries from Central and North Florida is expected to increase as harvest increases. Trading active with prices generally unchanged. Prices flats 12 1-pint cups with lids large 42.00-44.00. Flats 12 6-ounce cups with large lids, mostly 25.00. Quality is reported as generally good. Chile's imports of blueberries through various east coast ports of entry movement expected to decrease as the season comes to an end. The remaining supplies are very light and in too few hands to establish a market, and the last F.O.B. report has been issued.

The movement of green bell peppers from Mexico crossings through Nogales, Arizona, is expected to remain about the same. Trading is fairly slow at much lower prices.
