The imports of fresh fruits and berries to Primorsky Krai have almost doubled

Since the beginning of the year, 16,246.9 tons of fresh fruits and berries have been delivered to Primorsky Krai, almost doubling the amount of import of goods when compared to 2022.

In particular, the total import of citrus nearly tripled. Thus, 9,067.8 tons of various citrus fruits from China, Egypt, the Republic of Korea, Pakistan, and Vietnam were imported into the region.

The import of apples and pears increased almost threefold as well, and are imported from China, Argentina, and South Africa. This year, 2,787.7 tons of apples and pears have already been imported, of which 2,501.1 tons came from China.

Imports of melons and watermelons increased almost 20-fold. A total of 158.9 tons were brought to Primorsky Krai, all of which came from China.

Also, since the beginning of the year, 4,046.7 tons of pineapples, pomegranates, kiwi, bananas, rare exotic fruits, and fresh berries have been registered through the phytosanitary posts of Primorsky Krai.
