China: The 9th International Horticulture Research Conference held at HZAU

From November 20 to 23, the 9th International Horticulture Research Conference was held at Huazhong Agricultural University, both online and offline, with the participation of more than 300 scholars from countries and regions, including the USA, Britain, and Japan.

Co-hosted by HZAU and Horticulture Research of Nanjing Agricultural University, the conference was organized by the College of Horticulture and Forestry Sciences (HZAU) and the Key Laboratory of Horticultural Plant Biology (HZAU), MOE. Held online via Zoom and offline at the College, the 3-day conference focused on four session topics: Growth and Development, Environmental Development, Omics and Big Data, and New Technology. It showcased the latest achievements and research progress in the field of horticulture and promoted communication and cooperation among world experts.  

Prof. Qing Ping (Vice President of HZAU) and Prof. Cheng Zongming (Editor-in-Chief of Horticulture Research) addressed the opening ceremony, respectively. The conference invited 53 well-known scholars from all over the world to deliver a variety of fascinating presentations, receiving more than 6,000 online views in total. Providing an in-depth discussion of hot issues boosted cooperative research and win-win collaboration in horticulture worldwide. Apart from oral presentations, the top four posters were also determined.  

The International Horticulture Research Conference is held annually, and the 10th conference will be organized by South China Agricultural University in Guangzhou in 2023.
