The text of the Covenant Energy Transition Greenhouse Horticulture 2022-2030, signed on November 30, has been published. The text contained formulated ambitions and goals regarding CO2 reduction.
These ambitions are twofold:
- In 2030, the CO2 emission is to be reduced to 4.3 - 4.8 megatons. How exactly needs to be identified further. ('Based on further elaboration of the related toolbox, the remaining emission goal for 2030 will be identified further at the Spring Memorandum.')
- In 2040 greenhouse horticulture will be both climate-neutral and economically profitable.
