Crop One Holdings appoints Rob Twyman to Board of Directors

Crop One Holdings announced the appointment of Rob Twyman to its board of directors. Twyman brings over three decades of experience in the food industry, notably spending 28 years with Whole Foods Market serving at every leadership level in the company, including Executive Global Vice President of Operations, during which time he oversaw 525 stores and 100,000 employees across the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

“We are pleased to welcome Rob to the Board of Directors,” said Craig Ratajczyk, CEO of Crop One. “His extensive experience in the global retail and wholesale food industry will contribute greatly to the strength and market presence of Crop One Holdings and our Fresh Box Farms brand. As we execute our growth strategies and increase our market presence, we appreciate the strategic insight and global access to customers that Rob will bring to the company.”

Twyman started his career with natural food companies, including Bread & Circus Natural Foods in Boston, The Odwalla Fresh-Squeezed Juice Company, as well as his own venture, Kinetic Lunch, an early initiative to bring natural and organic foods to the fast-food space. A former board member of The Mondavi Institute for Wine and Food Science and The Dean of UC Davis’ School of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences Advisory Council, Twyman has supported and grown the pipeline of next-generation students working in food science and innovation. Twyman is currently CEO of Daily Table, a Boston-based, non-profit grocery retail organization that serves communities in need with fresh, nutritious, tasty, and truly affordable foods.

“I am excited to join the Crop One board as we work together to support the future of sustainable food systems,” said Twyman on his appointment. “Crop One has developed a unique and eminently scalable solution that safely grows an exceptionally fresh, quality, and tasty product. The company’s technology supports an incredible breadth of products that will serve a diverse and growing consumer demand while tackling environmental concerns like water conservation and food waste.”
