Erich Baumeister Ltd presents new single-net process at expoSE 2022

"Elastic and non-elastic yarns with ecologically sustainable materials"

Erich Baumeister Ltd develops and distributes forward-looking solutions for bundling, packaging, and labeling. Now, the market launch of a new process for netting with sustainable, ecological materials is imminent. "We have used the economic upheaval that was Corona to establish and expand our sustainability strategy. In addition to the well-known and proven standard qualities of our yarns, we have now also developed various elastic and inelastic yarns with ecologically sustainable materials," says Managing Director Dietmar Baumeister.

The issue of packaging volumes, or recycling in general, is becoming increasingly important, Baumeister continues. "We firmly believe that a minimalist use of environmentally friendly packaging twine, coupled with the efficient use of tying machines, is the way forward for many industries, in particular, the fruit and vegetable sector. Also, direct labeling is not a problem in this process."

Sustainable alternatives to flow packs
The company, based in Laer (North Rhine-Westphalia), can always respond to farm-specific requirements, whether in fruit or vegetable processing. For those products that cannot be strapped, the company offers environmentally friendly alternatives for all commercially available flow pack machines. "These are made of renewable, organic raw materials that decompose naturally within a few months. If so desired, they can be adorned with the logo of the customer - on a watercolor basis."

Announcements of the EU law
At the annual asparagus and soft fruit fair expoSE in Karlsruhe on November 23 and 24, Erich Baumeister Ltd will present an excerpt from its versatile range of products. "Should you prefer nets for your products, we will offer these from sustainable raw materials in various sizes, from garlic to Christmas tree nets. This means one will have the best product possible, while at the same time adapting to EU legislation," Baumeister concludes.
