10-hectare glass greenhouse starts its 2nd production season in Beijing

A 10-hectare glass greenhouse started its 2nd production season in Beijing. The greenhouse was built in 2021 by Kingpeng. The grower tested 2 hectares of cultivation during its first production season. The result of the test encouraged the grower to start the second production season in the entire facility.

The tomato was transplanted in early September. The greenhouse grows several tomato varieties. 

This greenhouse adopts diffused glass, a shade screen, a thermal screen, a high-pressure fog system, wall screen, heating system, and a ventilation system which includes roof ventilation and air circulation system. 

According to Mr. Liang, GM Assistant of Kingpeng, and project manager of this project, the first harvest is to be within two weeks' time, which will be mainly beef tomato. The cherry tomatoes will be ready to harvest around mid of November.
