Rami Shaaban runs successful fruit and veg business in Sweden

Former Arsenal goalkeeper now sells fruits and vegetables

Rami Shaaban played as a goalkeeper during his football career, which spanned 18 years between 1994 and 2012. Shaaban spent two years with Arsenal and was part of the club's squad that ended the 2003/04 season unbeaten.

Alas, the former goalkeeper played a less prominent role under then-manager Arsene Wenger and was subsequently offloaded in 2004. After this, Shaaban went on to turn out for several clubs, including Brighton and Hammarby IF, before ending his career in 2012.

Now, a decade after retiring from the field, he runs a successful fruit and vegetable business in his home country of Sweden. Some time years after hanging his goalkeeper gloves, Shaaban is trying his hand in the world of entrepreneurship, and his company is a specialist in the supply of fruits and vegetables from Egypt.
