Tomato World and Westland Toerisme signed MOU with the Publicity Department of the Dezhou Municipal Party Committee

On September 28, the China (Dezhou) - Netherlands (Westland) tourism resources promotion conference was held in a combination of online and offline methods. At the meeting, both sides made a brief introduction and promotion of their respective characteristics and advantages in terms of culture and tourism. The Publicity Department of the Dezhou Municipal Party Committee signed MOU with Tomato World Foundation and Westland Toerisme.

Westerland, South Holland, is the greenhouse capital of the Netherlands, with highly developed agricultural technology and leading in agricultural innovation in the world. Ms. Dwarshuis, former Deputy Governor of South Holland Province, said that when she was serving, she had visited China more than a dozen times. She has seen the tremendous development of China over the years, as well as many specific commercial projects in the field of agriculture and horticulture in the Netherlands and China.

Founded in 2018, Tomato World is one of the important innovation cooperation platforms for Dutch agricultural technology companies. It aims to introduce Dutch advanced horticultural technology to the industry and help solve more sustainable problems in the production process for the growing population in the world to provide safe, healthy, high-quality products. According to Miranda van den Ende, general manager of the Tomato World, "Water scarcity, growing population, increasing proportion of urban population and energy crisis all pose challenges to the development of modern agriculture, which means the role of Dutch technology are becoming more and more prominent. About 8,000 people from different parts of the world visit Tomato World every year, including growers, retailers, and various government departments. Tomato World pays special attention to the education of students because students are the future of everything. In 2020, the Chinese company Zhongnong Futong joined Tomato World as a gold member, and LetsGrow.com, the data-driven company, is also a gold member. Together with many partners, we are committed to bringing more advanced concepts and technologies to the world."

Liu Zhirong, deputy director of the Publicity Department of the Dezhou Municipal Party Committee, said that the two sides signed an MOU today to build a new bridge of communication for the two cities to deepen cooperation in multiple fields and to help the two sides communicate in tourism, ecological agriculture, intelligent greenhouse, agriculture, forestry and horticulture, energy conservation and emission reduction to share experience, create more business opportunities and harvest more results.
