Church Brothers Farms will unveil new retail vegetable offerings

Church Brothers Farms is excited to welcome everyone to its booth in the Grower-Shipper Pavilion (#4053). This year at IFPA, it is eager to share its newest additions to its retail offerings.

In the development of new products at Church Brothers, it is listening to consumers to understand what their needs are and to continue to drive sales in these categories. With a full convenience vegetable line, it has begun delving deeper into specialty lettuce offerings as well as adding high-velocity items like green beans and peas.

New packaging highlights the value-added convenience of these items with the versatility of commodity lettuce.

Church Brothers is introducing a new two-count petite romaine. It has been growing this product for years as a chef favorite because of its reduced waste and crunchy texture and the company is excited to bring this product into the retail channel. This is a hybrid variety, so consumers can enjoy the best characteristics of both romaine and iceberg. Each head yields two salad portions and is trimmed in the field to leave very little waste in the package. With its versatile application options, this item is great for lettuce boats, salads and wraps.

In addition to Petite Romaine, Church Brothers is highlighting its rebranded “Ready to Use” whole-leaf romaine and green-leaf clamshells. New packaging highlights the value-added convenience of these items with the versatility of commodity lettuce. Each clamshell is the equivalent of one whole head of lettuce and has a 7oz net weight. The company has reduced plastic consumption by 30 percent with a Peel and Reseal film that allows for long-lasting freshness over multiple uses.

Church Brothers’ newest incremental category is a trio of green beans, snap peas and snow peas. These new items complete a full offering for any convenience vegetable schematic and offer consumers sweet, crunchy “snackable” options as well as versatile usage in roasting and sautés. All three are washed and ready to enjoy, have microwaveable film and come with recipe suggestions on the back of the pack.

Church Brothers’ footprint in the industry is the foundation that drives its team each day. With a passion for produce, knowledge about farming and industry resources, it is making its mark in grocery stores nationwide.

Church Brothers wants customers to see it as their single-source solution for all things produce. Come say learn more about its new product offerings, capabilities and story at booth #4053.
